Walnes Seeds is an independent agricultural seed specialist and merchant operating from our own production facility in Framlingham, Suffolk. Walnes Seeds carries on a tradition of seed production in Framlingham, started over 60 years ago.
Grass Seed
Grass seeds sowings have seen a rapid growth over the last few years, this has been driven by a number of factors from increased leisure requirements through to agricultural policy changes.
Spring
We are pleased to offer a comprehensive range of Spring Crops. These will in the main be produced by our local seed growers and processed through our seed plant in Framlingham.
Autumn
Walnes Seeds is pleased to be able to offer a full portfolio of winter Cereal, Oilseed and Pulse varieties for the forthcoming autumn season.
SEEDS
Walnes Seeds specialise in the production and supply of cereal and pulse seeds from locally grown seed crops and marketed throughout Eastern England. Very high standards in both product quality and delivery service are the key elements of the business enabling us to deliver the service our customers require. We are also suppliers of oilseeds, grass seeds and game cover crops to which we apply the same high standards
PRISM
Walnes Seeds are proud to be part of the Prism Group. Prism is a marketing group set up in 1998 and is comprised of 11 independent seed merchants, covering England, Scotland and Wales.
Prism enables us to bring new varieties to our customers earlier and to maintain our competitiveness in the market place through other joint ventures.
GRAIN & FERTILISER
Walnes Seeds strives to offer the level of service our customers have come to expect from our seed supply operation throughout our grain and fertiliser trading. Through a number of well established trading relationships we are able to offer contracts for the purchase of all crop types. Again using well established relationships we are able to offer a full range of fertilisers and also advice and soil analysis from our F.A.C.T.S qualified staff.
GRASS SEED
We are pleased to be able to offer a comprehensive grass seed range based around our on site mixing facility. The ability to mix on site allows us the oportunity to offer a truly individual service to our customers, as well as a range of standard mixtures.
